FireRed, Pt. 2.5.2

It's been a while since I updated. I haven't had anything really update-worthy happen. I've continued to grind and hunt on Route 3. I'm 340 hours in and still haven't seen my second shiny. After doing all that trading with LeafGreen for duplicates of the starter Pokémon and extra poke balls, my PC currently has a male and female for every species that can be caught up to Mt. Moon, with duplicates for each of their evolutions if I can't evolve them yet.

Leveling the traded Pokémon was more annoying than I expected. They gain boosted experience, but they ignore you very early. I trained up 2 male and 2 female of each starter until they evolved at level 16, and put them back in the PC. I will get them back out when they will obey me again. That means I've added Ivysaur, Charmeleon and Wartortle to the Pokédex.

The rest of the Pokémon are able to battle without me needing to constantly switch or risk them ignoring my orders. The ones that are going to remain at their basic evolution stage are staying at the level I caught them at. The rest are being leveled until they evolve or until they hit level 20. I now have 24 Pokémon at level 20, with only 8 more that need any leveling. I have 2 male and 2 female Zubat at level 18 that will eventually evolve into Golbat and 1 of each will evolve into Crobat after I get the National Dex. I also have male and female Paras at level 18. Those 6 are near my level 20 cap. The other 2 waiting to level up are male and female Jigglypuff that are currently at level 12. They've been my least favorite to level up so far because it took them forever to learn a damaging move, and now that they have Pound, they still don't deal out a lot of damage. I intended to level all the stone-evolutions to 25 or 30 before evolving them, but I might make an exception for Jigglypuff.

My Pokédex is currently sitting at 36 seen, 29 owned:
